Well it’s been fun y’all but I have to say good-bye. I’ve had the privilege of being a stay at home mom for the past 3 years but financially it’s time for me to go back to work for awhile. I got a great job at a good company, the pay is good and while it’s full time, my son has great day care and I have a family support system that’s insanely awesome.

It does mean that I’ll have to stop doing my coupon blog though. It’s been so much fun sharing deals and I’ll try desperately to keep up with the coupon blogs I love and try to do my shopping trips on the weekends and keep my money saving addiction. WalMart trip 9/28

I’m not a huge fan of WalMart, mainly because I can’t ever find anything there. I made a stop today because I have NEVER found those Huggies Flushable Wipes that everyone has stocked up on for .67 each after the $2/2 coupon (there used to be a $3/2). Anyway, I decided to try it out once more and I found some pretty good deals.

I got (all the smelly stuff was on some kind of a price reduction):

Glade soy candle $3.00, used $2/1 Glade Soy Candle (home mailer) Final price: $1
Glade Lasting Impressions $5.00, used $3/1 Lasting Impressions, Starter Kit (same Glade home mailer) Final price: $2 (these things have 2 refills in them so even if I only use the refills it’s cheaper than buying the refills separately)
5 Airwick I Motion Compact Air Fresheners $5 each, used $4/1 9/13 SS, Final Price: $1
Flushable Huggies Wipes $1.64 and $2.42. Used $3/2, 7/9 SS, Final price: $.53 each.
Orajel Toddler Toothpaste $2.88. Used $1/1 Orajel Toothpaste (I have printed at least 6 of these off this one link, it just keeps on giving!), Final price $1.88

Total before coupons: $39.94, After coupons $10.94. This doesn’t mean I’m going to frequent WalMart but I might stop every once in awhile.

My friend Heather absolutely robbed Walgreens today. I had to have her send her deals. Here’s what she did:

In 3 transactions; $15.64 oop, Used $51.50 RR,….Total $118.06 worth of stuff, and has $67 in RR’s leftover!!

Then she decided she didn’t have enough free stuff so she went back later on and got this:

$4.70 oop, Used $29.00 RR…Total $69.66 worth of stuff

I went to post the picture I took of my Walgreens trip and my entire memory card is wiped clean. I had pictures of my trip to Washington with family on it and everything. I’m so sick.

Anyway, I got $99 worth of stuff for $26.16 oop and I have $30 in RR’s left, so after RR’s I made some money but I did the deals in Washington and for whatever reason my plan didn’t go quite right. I should have had a lot less oop and less RR’s.

UPDATE!! I did this deal over the weekend and it worked perfectly. I got 4 Glade Sense and Spray’s $.87 each after the coupons including taxes and I got back a $2 catalina for each one. SCORE!!
