My Coupon Binder

I have had a few lovely ladies ask me how I organize my coupons so here goes.

I have a big fat coupon binder, as you can see above. I have 2 sections, one for grocery items (essentially anything you can eat), and one for everything else like health and beauty, cleaning supplies, you get the idea.

I have pages of baseball card holders that you can pick up any office supply store and there are 4 “holders” per page.

I label each holder with a letter of the alphabet and file my coupons by manufacturer. I also have separate spaces for larger manufacturers like Betty Crocker and Kelloggs. I have my non-food section organized the same way, by manufacturer but I have additional categories for the letters L and S which for whatever reason tend to have more coupons so I split those up by “L-Beauty”, “L-Household”, “L-Meds”, and same for “S”.

I have a separate section in the back for pet items. This is the way I file mine because it works for me, but everyone has their own unique way of organizing so it works for them. Some people file by category like: Bread, Pasta, Dairy, etc. Some people just save their full inserts and clip the coupons as they need them for grocery trips.

There are so many ways you can do this and there is no wrong way to do it. I’ve changed up my system at least 5 times.

I hope this gives you some good ideas on how to start your own coupon binder or box or whatever. Make sure to post back and let me know how you did creating your own system! Good luck and happy couponing!

Think I might need to cut back on the cereal and bbq sauce?

Ready to save?…On the REST of it…

Hi yall! Yes, I live in Oregon but we just moved from Texas where I was an avid couponer but honestly it was pretty easy. Most stores double/triple coupons automatically so coming to Oregon where Albertsons and Safeway only double 3 or 4 coupons in each transaction was kind of culture shock. I’ve been stalking coupon blogs of other awesome deal hunters for a few years and I figured maybe my personal shopping trips could help out those looking for local scenarios while I learn about blogging, because at the moment, I know NOTHING.

Here’s my current issue: my stockpile is full of shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, peanut butter, laundry detergent, soup, pasta sauce, cereal, and all things Pillsbury.  Is it just me or is there others out there that say enough is enough? I’m out of space and I really just want my refrigerator to have greek yogurt, fresh produce, organic milk, and Dave’s Killer Bread in it? How do I save money on the things I use every day that don’t have a coupon every weekend in the Smart Source or Red Plum? I’d like to shop at Whole Foods or New Seasons without spending $135 for one bag of groceries (which is a true story by the way, I actually saw a woman spend that much for ONE bag of groceries).

So if you feel like adding one more to your blog roll (I hope I used that right, I’m so totally a newbie), I’d sure appreciate it, and I’ll do my best to keep you informed and entertained!

Welcome to Super Savers NW!
